I am an ECFMG-certified foreign medical graduate trained in internal medicine. I am a graduate of Boston University School of Public Health, and have a Master of Public Health and a Certificate of Health Care in developing countries. I also am a graduate of the Youville Hospital School of Nursing.
As a research assistant at Boston City Hospital, I participated in the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) seroprevalence survey research project, and I am an experienced nurse. This experience uniquely positions me to complete research related to the ZIKA virus.
Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides information and statistics about the ZIKA epidemic in the United States. We plan to obtain statistics about the spread of ZIKA in other parts of the world and share this data with the CDC.
Given the prevalence of ZIKA in Brazil, we plan to compile data there, and, if successful, implement prevention programs in other countries. We also will provide free health services. We reserve the right to change insecticides we deploy, if the mosquitoes become resistant to the insecticide we deploy in Brazil.
